Company Registration in Poland Consists of Three Components:

  • Understanding the process
  • Knowledge of the language
  • Availability of time

Advantages of Opening a Business in Poland on Your Own

The Ability to Figure It Out Yourself — The main advantage.
You will personally go through the entire process, start integrating into the Polish ecosystem, interact with inspectors, register things, and communicate with people. Entrepreneurs who go through this process tend to learn the nuances of doing business in Poland more quickly and are better equipped to handle other tasks in the future.

Saving Money
On average, intermediary services cost between 400 and 1500 euros, with the typical amount being around 800 euros. When registering a business in Poland on your own, you simply save that money. However, this depends on your specific situation. You will need to travel to Poland, spend several days to acclimatize, submit documents, and wait for the company registration. Sometimes, those 800 euros are just spent on travel expenses.

Guarantee and Responsibility
No one can give a 100% guarantee. The person you submit your application to is an inspector who approves your request. If someone guarantees a result, it’s worth thinking twice. However, you are fully responsible for the process.

You should consider registering a business on your own if:

  • You are a beginner entrepreneur
  • You know Polish
  • You have the time and desire to figure things out

Advantages of Registering a Business in Poland Through a Partner

Saving Time
The service provider knows exactly what to do, so you don’t have to spend time learning the process. You just send the documents, and the intermediary handles everything.

Fewer Mistakes in Registration
This results in saving both time and money. We often have people coming to our consultations who didn’t realize how important the location of their company’s legal address is, as the tax office is tied to the voivodeship. It can be very inconvenient if you live in Gdańsk, but the intermediary registered your company in Wrocław (because that’s where their office is). In this case, you would have to travel to Wrocław often. You can save on such small details by working with a responsible and proactive partner, someone who doesn’t just provide the service but also thinks ahead.

Registration is Not Equal to Business
Once your company is registered in Poland, there are still many tasks ahead – hiring employees, registering for an EORI (number for working within the EU), deciding whether you need only an EORI or also VAT registration. A service provider can help you navigate this entire chain of tasks or plan for these details in advance. We do this by asking clients about their goals, what they plan to do, and in which city. We have a questionnaire, and by filling it out, the person clarifies many aspects themselves.

Ultimately, the decision to open a Polish business on your own or with a partner is up to you. We opened our company through an intermediary, and we didn’t choose the right one. But that’s our story. Feel free to contact us, and we can discuss your situation.
